Your Free 15-Day PTE Study Plan

A day-by-day preparation sequence designed by Smriti Simkhada — the same structure she uses with 1,000+ students. Each day covers one or two task types, in the order that builds your score fastest.

Day 1: PTE Format + Scoring System

90 min

Understand all section types and how many items each has

Learn exactly how the AI scoring engine works — pronunciation, fluency, content, form

Read the task-by-task scoring guide (find it in the Materials section)

Set up your headset and microphone — do a test recording

Smriti's note: Most students fail because they prepare for the wrong things. Day 1 is about building an accurate mental model, not practising yet.

2

Day 2: Baseline Mock Test

2.5 hrs

Take a full timed practice mock test (use Pearson Scored Practice or a trusted provider)

Do not pause, do not cheat — replicate real test conditions

After finishing, note your lowest-scoring sections and task types

This score is your starting point — every session from Day 3 is targeted at the gap

Smriti's note: Your baseline mock score tells you exactly which tasks need most attention. Without it, Days 3–13 is guesswork.

Is This For You?

This plan works best if you…

Good fit

  • You have a baseline PTE score or a solid English foundation
  • You are targeting 65+, 79+, or 90+ for Australia PR, student visa, or AHPRA/ACS assessment
  • You can dedicate 90–150 minutes per day for 15 consecutive days
  • You want structure — a clear task-by-task sequence instead of random practice
  • You are a retaker who wants to know what to fix, not just practise everything again

You may need more support if…

  • You are starting from a very low English base — 30–45 days may be more realistic
  • You have never taken any English test and need foundational grammar work first
  • You have less than 1 hour per day — compressed timelines rarely work without coaching
  • Your exam is in fewer than 7 days — intensive 1-on-1 coaching is a better use of that time
